Know your distance on each backstoke
I went from shooting 110 to 86 in one season!
I did it by taking all the thinking out of the putting equation by using Distance Control.
I'm not a golf pro by any means just a guy that loves golf and is sharing a training tool that helped me lower my scores immediately.
Quick Background
I started playing golf again after many years away from the sport. I always enjoyed playing a few rounds a year with friends. I still went to the driving range after work here and there but like most rec players I ignored the most important part, the short-game, especially putting.
During rounds, I would always drive and approach pretty well, but my score-card would explode with 3 or 4 putts.
Regardless of coaching lessons or the advise i was getting my putts weren't improving!
What I Discovered
During my years away from golf, I coached youth sports. That time was incredible and taught me a lot about simplifying technique down to a few basic movements.
I created a few training aids to improve my putting and this very useful tool really helped me improve my shortgame especially my distance control.
The putting gauge as a marker for myself to grove my putting & chipping stroke and stance.
I use the swinggauge to groove my putting backswing distance.
This is the key for my consistency and I offer it to you to
The most frequent comment on my putting is how controlled by backswing is...the ironic thing is that im not even concentrating on the speed of my backswing i am thinking completely about the distance.
